24-year-old collector, curator, and NYC-based DJ Rachel Opert has had music at the forefront of her life for as long as she can remember. Rachel has worked in the music industry since 2019, with prior work experiences including band management, tour management, music marketing, A&R, social media management, creative direction, and distribution. She has worked at In Sheep's Clothing, Academy Records, Paradise of Replica, and as an intern at All Around This World Music and Secretly Group.
Rachel began DJing in 2023 and since has played in some of New York City's staple clubs, bars, art galleries and around the globe - from Hong Kong, São Paulo, Bali, Phnom Penh, Hanoi, Da Nang, and Bangkok. With a background in vinyl and a focus on the forgotten, her selections are seductive, hypnotic, and dusted. Cosmic disco, Italo, electro, house, street soul, dub, new wave, and everything in between.
